This blog is set up for all the friends of Cafe One2One (121) the iconic cafe on Ponsonby Road, Auckland famous for its coffee, food, service and live music. It is a blog that friends of 121 can use to get information about what's happening at the cafe particularly with respect to the live music that has been such an important part of Thursday and Friday nights for years. It is a blog where friends can contribute thoughts, ideas, suggestions and feedback generally.
The creation of this blog comes at a time when the cafe has recently changed ownership. We have recently farewelled the iconic Chris Priestley who made such a huge contribution to the coffee, cafe and music scenes in Auckland over many years. We salute you Chris and wish you well in the future.
Now we have a new owner, Peter, who I know is keen to carry on the great traditions of Cafe 121 (easier to write then One2One!). And I know he is keen to get any feedback, suggestions, ideas and constructive criticism on the cafe.
Finally, at a time of transition, this blog is for those friends (customers and musicians) of Cafe 121 who care about the cafe and represent a "community of interest" that has always made 121 more than just somewhere to go to eat and drink; a place to go to meet and make friends, to listen to great music; a place where "everybody knows your name".
